Winter Snow Trek in Himalayas in Tirthan Valley Tour Itinerary
Winter Snow Trek in Himalayas in Tirthan Valley (02 Nights / 03 Days)
On first day of trek trail will lead very soft and easy through the dense forests, by the bank of the Tirthan river and some of small villages on the way till the first day halt base camp at Rollah.
Second day of trek after breakfast and pack lunch will continue towards Shilt. At times we will have to scramble up slopes & slide under trees during our walk to Shilt. During this accent if you are lucky you might be able to see some wild life as well. Once at Shilt hut you get beautiful views of the surrounding valleys and adjacent mountains. We spend some time at the top and take in the beautiful views of the Great Himalayan National Park and later descend to Rolla. Trail leads moderate upto shilt and through the dense forests and enjoy the spotting of birds on the go. By evening will get back to basecamp at Rollah. Overnight in tents-forest hut at Rolla.
In the morning, after a deluxe breakfast, the camp will be dismantled and cleaned. You may spend some time exploring the surroundings. Then it will be 3 hours hike back to Gushaini, enjoy the downhill trek, and return back gradually to the civilization again. 8 Km on Foot and 32 kms drive back. During winter you may have snowfall, which is going to be a different experience. Have good pair of shoes and warm clothes. After lunch we trek down to Gushaini and from here drive to camp/ home stay. After evening tea we get ready to leave for Aut. This journey will take us one hour but at certain times due to narrow roads the traffic jam makes the drive a bit longer. Trip ends at Aut.
