Dainkund Peak Trek:
Dainkund is the highest peak in the Dalhousie region. The trek to Dainkund Peak is relatively easy and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Ganji Pahari Trek:
Ganji Pahari, also known as the Bald Mountain, is another trekking destination near Dalhousie. The trail takes you through dense forests and offers panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks.
Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary Trek:
The Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary is located near Dalhousie and is a great place for nature lovers and trekkers. The trek inside the sanctuary takes you through thick pine and deodar forests.

Dalhousie Tour Itinerary
Dalhousie Trek (06 Nights / 07 Days)
Pathankot / Chakki Bank to Dalhousie
Arrive Pathankot or Chakki Bank rly station by an overnight train. On arrival at station our driver will meet you and transfer you to Dalhousie(3 hours drive). Check in Hotel in Dalhousie. Later a walking tour of Dalhousie. You can go for a circular walk on Thandi Sarak and Garam Sarak that joins to two main centres in Dalhousie – Gandhi Chowk and Subhash Chowk. Overnight stay in Hotel.
After a short drive for half an hour we reach the starting point of our trek. It is steep uphill walk through the forest to Kalatop. Camp or stay in a forest lodge at Kalatop. From Kalatop we have beautiful view of the snowcovered peaks of high Himalayan ranges.
It is a long day walk through a dense forest of Kalatop-khajiar wildlife sanctuary. First half of the day it is almost a downhill walk and during the second half it is uphill walk to reach Khajiar. Those who do not want to take a long walk can drive in our back up jeep to Khajiar and spend time walking in the Khajiar meadows while the others arrive after a long day trek. Stay in forest lodge or guest house.
Khajiar – Chamba Jot (5/6 hours walk)
After a short drive from Khajiar we will get to the starting point of the trek. This is one of the most beautiful day of the trek. We walk on top of dhauladhar mountain with superb parallel view of the high Himalayan peaks of Pir Panjal range of central Himalayas. Camp at Jot for overnight stay.
Chamba Jot – Kainthly (3 hours walk)
We continue walking on top of Dhauladhar mountain for some time and then descend down through a dense deodar forest to Kainthly. Overnight stay in a beautiful Forest Lodge or camp. Kainthly valley is one of the most hidden and unexplored valleys in Himachal Pradesh.
After a short walk through some remote tribal villages we reach the nearest road-head above Chowari village from where we drive to Dharamsala. Check in Hotel in Dharamsala. Afternoon walking tour of Dalai Lama Temple and Tibetan Market in Mcleod Ganj.
Transfer to airport for flight to Delhi. End of the Tour
