Shrikhand Mahadev, one of the toughest Trek/Pilgrimage in India, is known for Lord Shiva in Hindu Mythology. It also makes a thrilling and adventurous trek in Himachal. It takes you amidst the lavish and beautiful setup of mighty Himalayas to the top of the Shrikhand Mahadev peak. This holy destination is situated Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Shrikhand Mahadev is a pilgrimage as well as Extreme Adventurous Trek for people of all Faith. It is believed that Shrikhand Mahadev is one of the abode of Lord Shiva. Shrikhand Mahadev is a rock-made natural shivalingam on the great heights of mountains in the Himalayas. The shivalingam is 70 feet high and stands at the mountain top around 17,000 ft altitude. Shrikhand Kailash (Mahadev) yatra is open for 15-20 days in a year and normally from the 15th july to 5-10 August. The reason behind this is environmental conditons like heavy snowfalling and there is no way to go there before and after this period. The pilgrims start their yatra at village called Jaon village, 170 km from Shimla and 200 km from Kullu by car. Singhad, the base camp, reaches after trekking just 3 km, which is the last habitation. After this the point the trekking requires periodic stops for taking rest and adaptation to the climate.
It is a 70-km two-way track passing through dense forests, water streams, sprawling meadows and lofty mountains. The climb is difficult and offers a panoramic view. 2 Km. from Jaon there is village called Singh gad, which was named after a brave man who dared to live their and established a village. Singhad is the last habitat of civilization on this route. Reaching Shrikhand takes crossing moraines,stone tunnels, seven small peaks. An amazing trek gives feeling of walking on the clouds.It is a tough trek with crossing of glaciers, whether uncertanity, Extreme cold weather, altitude and most tough Climb. Needs Strong will to complete the trek with chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’, and ‘Om Namah Shivaya”.

Tour Itinerary
Chandigarh – Shimla
On your arrival at Chandigarh Airport / Railway Station our representative will greet you and from there we will drive towards Shimla which nearly takes 2 to 3 hours from Chandigarh. Overnight at Hotel.
Shimla – Sarahan
The day will begin with the breakfast and after that we will drive towards Bhimakali Sarahan and places to visit on the way. First we will visit the Hatu Temple, one of the main temple of Narkanda which is located on the Hatu peak. Next we will visit the Sun Temple which is a unique sun temple situated at Nirath. Later in the evening we will move to visit Bhimakali Sarahan Temple which is dedicated to the mother goddess Bhimakali. Overnight at Hotel.
Sarahan – Jaun (SinghGaurd)
Early in the morning visit Bhimakali Sarahan Temple for attending the Morning Prayer (Aarti) and after that we will have our breakfast then move forward towards Jaun (SinghGaurd) which is the village of the terrain. On our way we will visit Jeuri which is hot water spring and after that we will do some sightseeing in Rampur Bushahar which is a small city in Shimla. Then we will visit the famous Shiva Cave which is locally famous as Dhar Deo Dhank Cave. We will also visit the famous temple including Ambika Temple, Parshuram Temple and the Kali Temple at Jaun. On reaching Jaun we will have to trek 3 km towards SinghGaurd which is the last village of the region towards Shrikhand Kailash. Overnight at Camps.
SinghGaurd – Bhimtalai
The day will start early as we have to go for an early morning trek towards Bhimtalai. You will enjoy the 2 hour walk along the rivulet towards Bharati Nalla and climbing for 7 to 8 hours through a dense forest with 80 degree slope to Thachdu, Kalighati. We will be reaching Bhimtalai descending downwards from Kalighati which will nearly take 30 minutes. Overnight at Camps.
Bhimtalai – Parvati Baag
The fifth day of our trip will as usual start with the breakfast and after that we will start our trek towards Parvati Baag which will nearly take 5 to 6 hours from Bhimtalai. You will love the trekking along the beautiful flower valleys, water falls on your way. You will also get a chance to get acquainted with the region at the height of 14000 feet and its climate. Overnight at camps.
Darshana (Parvati Baag – Shrikhand Mahadev)
Our day will start early in the morning with the trek towards Shrikhand Mahadev. You will experience the beautiful landscape with natural lake (Nain Sarovar), Rocks, Glacier etc. You will reach to the level of clouds and reaching at the height of 18,500 ft. we will do darshana of Lord Shiva’s Shrine Shivlingam. After praying at the shrine we will head back to Parvati Baag. Overnight at Camps.
On the seventh day we will trek back towards Thachdu. Overnight at Camps.
Thachdu – SinghGaurd (Jaun)
In the morning we will trek back to Village SinghGaurd (Jaun) Overnight at Lodge.
Jaun – Shimla – Chandigarh
After breakfast we will drive towards Shimla or Chandigarh for your final departure.
