Trek to Winch camp from Barot, winch camp is the station of haulage trolley build on 1926 to make Shanan power project reservoirs and tunnel at Barot. It connects Jogindernagar valley and Barot valley through a mountain railway line. At winch camp you can see old machinery and beautiful Jogindernagar valley. Experience beauty of nature at Winch camp. Trek passes through Barot village, oak and cedar forests and old railway lines at top of the hills. You can choose between camping or hotel stay. Experience the beauty of nature by camping/staying at Barot valley. Our camp site is near Uhl river and thick cedar forests. From Barot camp site trek to “Winch camp” which is the top most station of haulage trolley at elevation of 8000 ft and it is on top of mountain between Barot valley and Jogindernagar valley. The view is very beautiful from here. Also see old machines of haulage trolley station which was build 1926 by English Engineer Col. Batty. Machines were imported from Glasgow, Scotland that are still running.

Arrive at Barot and welcome by our team
On arrival to Barot camp site at evening (after 4 PM), welcome tea and snacks, Visit nearby places like Barot market, cedar forest, crop fields and Uhl river. Dinner and then camp fire, overnight say in camps.
Sightseeing And Fishing At Barot Valley
After breakfast small visit to big lakes of Shanan power project, trout fish farm and nearby tractions. Back to camp. After lunch prepare to trek to Winch camp. This trek goes through Barot village, where you can see Himalayan culture and old style houses. trek through dense cedar and oak forest and reach to Winch camp. Rest and have tea & snacks. Have dinner with campfire. Overnight stay in camps.
Adventure Activities In Barot
After breakfast adventure trail along Uhl where you shall experience beauty of Uhl river and also do various adventure activities. Adventure activities includes river crossing and rappelling. Back to camp site and after lunch take rest or take part in camping games or you can just visit Barot market.
Back to camping site, at night enjoy dinner with campfire. A view of Shanan power project. Overnight stay in camps.
Breakfast and departure with beautiful memories of tour. It’s time to bid adieu to the trails of mountains and head back home. Enjoy breakfast on the last day of your camping trip and be dropped off at the Bus Station in Barot. You can continue stay if you really love Barot valley.
