Angling in the pristine beauty of the Tirthan River, the only river in the Western Himalayas which has not fallen into the hands of hydro project dwellers. Tirthan Valley is perhaps Himachal’s best kept secret. Here we fish for the rainbow and the brown trout, the two of the tastiest fresh water fishes on the planet. The anglers can choose between fly fishing or the usual spoons spinners, baits and etc. Our knowledge of the river and the sport and our experience in the hospitality industry ensures that your angling experience will be satisfying and comfortable.
Tour Itinerary
Arrival at Bhuntar
Arrival at Bhuntar Airport / Aut Tunnell in the morning. Check in the Larji Forest rest House or a Himalayan Homestay at Larji to freshen up and hot the confluence of Sainj and Tirthan at Larji. Day hikes along the Tirthan towards Bali Chauki. Dinner and Overnight Stay at Larji.
From Larji to Sai Ropa by cab after breakfast halting in between good pools especially around the Khundan Bridge and Deori Pools . We check in the Sai Ropa tourist complex from where we would leave for an afternoon excursion of fishing from SaiRopa to Goshaini.
Morning Drive to Bathad and walk around the Phalachan Nala after the Bathad village in the Tirthan Valley enroute Bashleao Pass. Here we have access to some great pools having picnic lunch by the poolside and driving in the evening towards the Sai Ropa Tourist Center.
Fishing trek begins to the gate of the Great Himalayan national park after breakfast in which you follow your guide along the river to Kharongcha the gate of the GHNP. Here we camp at the pristine campsite having a bonfire dinner o/n Camp.

From Kharongcha Gate to SaiRopa. Visit the fish farm enroute and explore the pools of the crystal clear Tirthan River downhill to civilization. In the evening transfer to Aut for catching the Volvo bus or to Bhuntar for catching the morning flight to Delhi.
