Inderhara Pass is one of the most beautiful and popular treks in Dhauladhar mountain range of outer Himalayas. The climb to the pass is most difficult but once you reach the top of the pass you have the most amazing view of the high Himalayan peaks of Pir Panjal range of central Himalayas on one side and the vast Kangra valley on the other. During pre monsoon period (April to June) the trail to the pass is under deep compact snow and ice. During post-monsoon there is now snow on the trail and one has to negotiate narrow-rocky trail to reach the pass. After the pass the trail leads down into Chamba valley and we reach one of the most remote tribal village of Kuwari in Chamba valley.

Tour Itinerary
Arrive Chakki Bank or Pathankot railway station by an overnight train. On arrival transfer to Hotel in Dhaamsala. Afternoon free to explore on your own and meet with your trekking guide and fellow trekkers. Or You can also fly from Delhi to Dharamsala.
On Trek. Bhagsu Nag – Triund (2875 M) 10 kms
After a short drive(10 minutes) from your hotel we start our trek from Bhagsu Nag village. It is steep ascent through mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and deodar trees to Triund. Triund is an alpine meadow situated atop a ridge from where you have close view of the peaks of Dhauladhar on one side and Mcleod Ganj and Dharamsala town on the other. Overnight stay in tents.
This short stage is included in order to get acclimatized to the steep increase in the altitude. This day in the middle of the trek we take you for a side walk for spectacular view. Laka got is situated at the snout of a small glacier which is full of snow from April to Mid June and the glacier recedes back during post monsoon period. Overnight stay in tents at Lake got.
Laka Got- Inderhara Pass (4300M)- Chatta Parao (3400 M) 10 kms, 7 Hours Walk
Early breakfast. Early start is most important in oder to avoid bad weather at the pass and to get the most amazing view from the pass. During premoonsoon period April-Mid june you will have to walk on the snow and ice for about 4 to 5 hours to reach the pass. You might need to fit crampons on your shoes to walk on the early hours of the morning so it is important to have very good shoes that can fit crampons on. During post monsoon period (Sep-Nov) there is not snow on the trail and one has to walk on the rocky trail to the pass. From the pass we have superb view of the peaks of Pir Panjal range of central Himalayas. The trail on the other side of the pass is steep downhill to Chatta Parao got where we camp for overnight stay.
Chatta Parao – Kuwarsi Village 15 kms, 6 to 7 Hours walk
First few kms is a gentle walk on the alpine pasture of Chatta Parao and then we descend down into Chatta Nullah to cross over to the otherside with a uphill walk to the meadows of Mandara. Continue on uphill and downhill walk to reach the most charming village of Kuwarsi. Here we stay inside the temple complex in wooden log hut which is a temporary shelters for all pilgrims visiting the nag temple at Kuwarsi.
After breakfast visit Kuwarsi village to see the lifestyle of Gaddi Tribal people. Later continue walk through the green fields of Kuwarsi village to reach the road-head at Hilling where your car/drive will wait for you. Drive to Chamba Town. Stay overnight in Hotel.
Chamba – Khajiar – Dalhousie – Chakki Bank, 6 hours drive
After breakfast drive to Khajiar and Dalhousie and then continue drive to Chakki Bank station to board overnight train back to Delhi. Or You can drive to Amritsar( 7 hours drive) to board your flight back home.
